Are the waves really good on the outer banks of North Carolina?

i want to know cause my friend said he is going to a surf competition there and the waves can get up to like 14 feet on a really good day.
They can get higher than that if there is a storm near by. It is hurricane season so there can be a lot of good swells to surf on.

i live in Wisconsin, but i surf in California whenever i get the chance to leave.
I’ve recently heard about the "Dairyland Surf Classic" (surfing competition) in sheboygan.
i know you can surf there, but my friend told me that they make the waves with a big barge boat or something…
is this true? if not, what do they do if its flat water?

Last week at Mavericks Surf Competition a Rouge wave came in wiping out a bunch of stupid liberals who had no clue.
Can we sue stupid liberals who have no common sense who ruin it for the rest of us. I’m sure this will make it harder next year for the people who do have common sense.

I’m a surf life saver and would like one of the tight vests like the iron men wear when competing. You see them at competition, and on the TV in events such as The Coolongatta Gold and the XXXX Gold Iron Man etc. What are they called? Where can I get them?

Last week at the Mavrick Surf contest there was a hugh wave that wiped out a bunch of "down syndrome" liberals. They had 3 or 4 that had to taken to the hospital. Even tough these liberals were told about the danger, they still went down there.
Can a corporation be sued by these DS liberals.
These stupid aholes have ruined it for the rest of us next year.
Not if there was specific language warning people of the danger.
However, I’m kind of confused by your assumptions; how do you know the political persuasion of the victims?

But I’d like to know what was happening on the rest of the coast. Surely Half Moon Bay doesn’t have a monopoly on big waves. Does it? HMB got the attention because of the people involved but were there other big waves at Stinson Beach, San Francisco, Goat Rock etc? Eyewitness reports or even hearsay would be welcome.
There may very well have been other large waves elsewhere, but maybe not as large. The wave heights are a result of many factors, including the slope of the underwater surface as the wave approaches the coast as well as the direction that the wave is traveling. Other locations may not have had such favorable conditions for the large waves.

Of all the unfortunate times to be without tv or internet, I won’t have either during the Maverick’s surf contest. Does anybody know how to record it? Is a tv channel going to be showing it? i can’t find anything but live online stuff which doesn’t help me.
I am also looking and can only find internet TV - sorry!
